Heart #044 Stars

Anna also designed this Heart #044 with stars. I believe Anna in particular had the residents of Texas in mind. However, choosing the colours differently, it may also do very well for EU citizens – or anybody else fond of five pointed stars.

Layer the pieces forming the heart’s two parts. Weave in the same way as explained for Heart #042, just mind all the little tips and bows tending to get entangled.

I have included 5 different pieces, which you may mix to get the heart you like best. Here are some options for combination. You may also make up your own.

When you weave the piece from Page 1 (red) with the pieces from Page 2 (blue) +Page 5 (white), you get a heart like the Texas heart. Or you may choose to weave the piece from Page 1 (dark red) with the pieces from Page 2 (red) +Page 5 (yellow).

Using also Page 4 adds a smaller star inside the larger. You may weave the pieces from Page 1 (white) + Page 2 (red) with the pieces from Page 4 (blue) + Page 5 (white). Another option of this kind is to weave the pieces from Page 1 (very dark blue) + Page 2 (dark blue) with the pieces from Page 4 (blue) + Page 5 (gold).

If you want the colour of the larger stars to feature at the stars only, then you must use the piece on Page 3. You may weave the piece from Page 1 (white) with the pieces from Page 2 (red) + Page 3 (yellow) + Page 5 (gold). Or you may choose to weave the piece from Page 1 (dark blue) with the pieces from Page 2 (blue) + Page 3 (yellow) + Page 5 (gold).

You get a more robust handle if you glue together two handle strips, possibly of different colours. Just remember to bend and shape the handle before the glue dries. In that way you avoid small wrinkles on the inside when bending the handle. Adding the handle you may choose to cover the base with a star.
